E.ON UK publishes its Cleaner and Better Energy report

Today E.ON UK has published its Cleaner & Better Energy report, entitled ‘Re-setting relationships in 2012’. The full report and further details can be viewed and downloaded from: http://www.eontalkingenergy.com.

‘Re-setting relationships in 2012’ focuses on the big issues E.ON UK faces as an energy company, how is it addressing the relationships with the people who are touched by the business on a daily basis and their performance throughout 2011 to deliver the Cleaner & Better Energy strategy.

The report covers how E.ON UK is delivering its strategy through;

Cleaner energy: This is about driving down the environmental impact of E.ON UK’s activities and helping others to do the same, because we’re all in this together. In 2011 the company reduced its scope 1 emissions by 9% from the previous year and generated 1.318TWh of energy from renewable sites to support this strategy.

Better business: A major part of the Cleaner & Better Energy strategy is ensuring that customers are at the heart of everything E.ON does, making sure they have a better experience every time they contact E.ON with their energy needs. For the first time, E.ON UK has included its customer operations performance information as part of the report.

Better business: As part of E.ON UK’s commitment to being open and honest with all customers, this year financial results have been broken down to make it easier to understand where their money is going and how it is being invested back into the UK energy market.

The report includes an introduction and overview from the E.ON UK CEO, Tony Cocker, and open and honest comments from key external experts, including Tim Yeo, Chair of the Energy & Climate Change Select Committee, Consumer Focus and uSwitch.   

As part of the reporting process, E.ON UK has commissioned PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to provide independent assurance under ISAE3000 on selected E.ON UK 2011 Corporate Responsibility data.
