Prudential plc announced today the publication online of its new, magazine-style Corporate Responsibility Report 2010 in html, flash and iPad app formats at:

With articles featuring interviews with employees from across the business, and a number of charity partners, the Report looks at a wide range of subjects from product innovations, developing talent, and the influence of environmental issues on commercial property investment, as well as its diverse community investment strategy.

At Prudential, we firmly believe Corporate Responsibility activities should be managed by the people running our businesses - those who are closest to, and best understand, our customers and local stakeholders. In our 2010 Report, we are illustrating how CR is an intrinsic part of the way we do business with our employees, in their own words, describing how we put our philosophy into practice.

We direct our resources towards the issues that we believe are most relevant to our business and where we can make the most impact through our actions and expertise. We have four global areas of focus:
Fair and transparent products meeting customer needs
Best people for the best performing business
  Protecting the environment
  Supporting local communities

Key highlights for 2010 include:
Publication of our CR Principles and Customer Charter
Prudential in Asia launching the first product to protect the unborn child, and an iPhone app for retirement planning
More than two-thirds of employees in the UK owning or having an interest in Prudential shares through our employee share plans
More than 58,000 people from 142 countries, visiting the website of our talent development programme Momentum, and more than 2,800 people from 83 countries applying
Retaining ISO 14001 accreditation at all our UK sites, and at 26 office properties managed by PRUPIM, part of M&G, our UK asset management business
Almost 25 per cent of employees volunteered in their community
