Heathrow's 2009 Sustainability Performance Summary has been launched this week by the airport's owners, BAA, at http://ethicalperformance.com/reports/links/baa-sustreport-2009

Introduced through an interview with BAA's CEO, Colin Matthews, the 2009 Sustainability Performance Summary provides a snapshot of performance trends across the range of economic, environmental and community impacts relevant to Heathrow.

The 2009 Sustainability Performance Summary introduces Heathrow's new series of sustainability briefings, 'Towards a sustainable Heathrow', which marks a move away from BAA's traditional annual corporate responsibility report.

The series will provide a frequent and accessible insight into how BAA works with companies operating at Heathrow and a range of partners to manage sustainability performance at the airport.

The series will begin in May 2010 with 'A focus on climate change' and will provide a focus on 'noise', 'air quality', 'employment, training and skills' and 'economy' throughout 2010.
