For the tenth year running the sporting goods company adidas Group has published a report on its efforts to be a sustainable business. This year the report runs on the theme of 'Team Talk'. In sport, the team talk is where questions are raised, winning strategies are proposed and performances are reviewed.
In view of the growing concern about climate change, the environmental section has been expanded to provide a more detailed overview of the adidas Group strategy to reduce its environmental footprint in its own operations and meet new Group-wide targets by 2015 - as well as to help its suppliers reduce their environmental impacts.
In the spirit of Team Talk, the review also includes stakeholders' voices such as Greenpeace and LOCOG - the London Organising Committee for the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games - as well as stories from employees about factory audits and how site managers are rolling out the new environmental strategy.
This year's document is again an online review only with no printed version to make it easily accessible to as many interested stakeholders as possible.
