View Full Report

Cement and building materials company Lafarge has produced its eighth Sustainability Report.

Two years after launching its ‘Sustainability Ambitions 2012’, a set of measurable, social and environmental targets, Lafarge reports remarkable progress towards them, notably a significant step toward reducing its CO2 emissions.

The French multinational proposes an improved 2008 Sustainability report that meets last year’s requests of its Stakeholder Panel. The document was developed using the GRI Sustainability Reporting Guidelines (G3) and has been checked and confirmed by GRI as an A+ report.

The report presents Lafarge’s progress in the fight against climate change, on conserving environment, on managing social issues. It is illustrated with various case studies and two particular focuses on the integration of Orascom Cement to the group and on Lafarge’s progress towards sustainability in China.
