Today Ericsson is launching its 22nd annual Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility report. By 2020, 90% of the world’s population will be covered by mobile broadband networks. This scale brings unprecedented opportunity to address global sustainable development challenges. In the Networked Society, Ericsson is the leading advocate of Technology for Good™. It is a concept the company works with every day and is the overarching theme of Ericsson’s Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility report.

- Ericsson is the first ICT company to report according to the new UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights Reporting Framework.
- The latest mobile platform, Ericsson Radio System, enables a 50% improvement in energy efficiency which will mitigate the energy consumption required to meet growing demands for data.
- The company carbon footprint target to reduce 30% CO2 emissions per employee by 2017 is on track with 10% reduction achieved in 2014.
- Ericsson’s Technology for Good™ programs are benefiting over four million people around the world in areas such as financial inclusion, education and humanitarian response.
