Uren takes top spot at Forum for the FutureAugust 2013
Sally Uren has stepped up as chief executive of Forum for the Future, the sustainability non-profit organisation where she was previously deputy chief executive.
The Forum says Uren will continue the organisation’s drive to become an international body, having already helped establish a New York office and offices in India and South East Asia due to open this autumn.
Uren commented: “I’ve had the privilege to work with Forum on 11 years of brave and ambitious projects which have bought about significant changes in the way the business world, food and energy systems operate.
“From working with pioneer businesses such as Unilever and O2 to spearheading ground-breaking projects on shipping and farming, we are proud of what we’ve already achieved. I’m delighted to have been given the chance to step up and bring our growing, global network of partners and funders together to deliver system change.”
Forum for the Future, established 16 years ago by Paul Ekins, Sara Parkin and Jonathon Porritt, brings business, government and others together to solve challenges across key systems, including energy and food.
Current partners include Sony, Kingfisher, Bupa, Marks & Spencer, TUI Travel, Pepsico, Delhaize, O2 and Unilever.
