Malaysian villagers protest against petrochemical complexOctober 2012
Thousands joined villagers in a protest against a proposed petrochemical complex, to be sited near a small village in Johor, Malaysia. The Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex is expected to turn south-east Johor into a ‘mega petrochemical hub’, to include an oil refinery, a liquefied natural gas terminal and a petroleum storage terminal.
