Europe's largest frozen fish business has announced that it will certify all its brands as sustainable under the Marine Stewardship Council  scheme. Birds Eye has pledged to label all fish products - including the 1.5 million fish fingers it sells every day - within two years. It follows Findus, which recently made the same commitment (EP12, issue 2, p3). Marks & Spencer is committed to 100 per cent certification by 2012, and Walmart, which owns Asda, has pledged to achieve this by 2011.
