A body has been created in the UK to provide sustainability advice and research to private and public organizations. The Association for Sustainable Change has been established by former employees of the National Centre for Business and Sustainability, which was founded in 1995 with financial support from the Co-operative Group to promote sustainability partnerships in north-west England. The centre, with its charitable arm, Sustainability Northwest, was disbanded last year when its trustees decided it had largely achieved its aims.
