Henderson rebuilds SRI teamJanuary 2001
Henderson Global Investors has begun to rebuild its socially responsible investment team by appointing Rob Lake as head of strategy.
Lake, who was previously director of policy at Traidcraft Exchange, will work on strategic planning for Henderson’s SRI funds. He will also help to develop corporate social responsibility policies for Henderson’s Australian parent company, AMP.
He will work with a soon-to-be-appointed AMP senior manager who will be given responsibility for overseeing sustainable development strategy at the group’s headquarters in Sydney.
Also joining Henderson are Nick Robins, previously at the International Institute for Environment and Development, who becomes head of SRI research, Joel Moreland, from Arlington Capital, who becomes assistant SRI fund manager, and My-Linh Ngo, an SRI researcher.
Henderson recently lost seven SRI specialists when they left to join Morley Fund Management, the asset management arm of the world’s sixth largest insurer, CGNU (EP4, 2000). Lake’s job at Traidcraft Exchange will be temporarily filled by Jo Dunn.
