Jupiter engaged for Taiwan fundJuly 2008
Prudential Corporation Asia has retained the UK consultancy Jupiter Asset Management to advise on its PCA Global Green Solutions Fund, a new climate change fund authorized by the Taiwan regulator, the Financial Supervisory Commission.
The sales network of Prudential Corporation Asia will distribute the fund, whose aim will be to invest in companies that are responding positively to the challenge of environmental sustainability and climate change, through either their products or the way they are minimizing their impact on the climate.
The advice will be directed by Charlie Thomas, manager of the Jupiter Climate Change Solutions Sicav, the Jupiter Ecology unit trust and the Jupiter Green Investment Trust.
Mark Ko, chief executive at Prudential Corporation Asia, said: 'Awareness of climate change is growing in Taiwan, resulting in greater demand for investment products in this space. Jupiter has built an outstanding track record in green investing during the past 20 years and we look forward to a long association with them.'
