charities seek lottery moneyApril 2000
Two of the UK’s leading trade and development charities have applied for a £150,000 National Lottery grant to advise pension fund trustees on international development issues such as child labour and conflict prevention.
The idea – put forward in the light of the government’s new regulation that trustees must state their position on socially responsible investment – has been developed by War on Want and Traidcraft Exchange.
They should hear at the end of September whether they have the money.
