funds look for SRI experienceSeptember 2003
A study of 70 of the UK’s 250 biggest pension funds has found that more than half now consider socially responsible investment experience when appointing investment managers.
The Ethical Investment Research Service survey also found that pension managers and trustees at 38 of the funds had received training on SRI issues.
Nearly all the funds (90 per cent) claimed that they had incorporated SRI issues into the investment process and a fifth had consulted their members about doing so.
