ABP buys stake in InnovestMarch 2003
Europe’s largest pension fund has edged further into the socially responsible investment field by buying a minority stake in Innovest Strategic Value Advisors, which carries out research for SRI funds around the world.
ABP, which has €140billion ($150bn, £93bn) in assets, said that it wanted to have a presence ‘in an area which we believe to be one of the most critical factors driving the future of fiduciary investment’.
ABP’s overall equity stake in Innovest is expected to grow to 20 per cent in the medium term.
