Oxford University is to begin reviewing the social and environmental performance of companies in which it invests. The university’s investment committee is adopting an engagement approach based on the UK-based GoodCorporation charter. It will ask all companies in which it invests to demonstrate their commitment to the charter’s 21 points, which cover areas such as the environment and supply chain management. The university is distinct from the Oxford colleges, but invests on behalf of some of them.
