Scots get organized on CSRDecember 2001
A newly-formed group that will campaign on corporate social responsibility in Scotland has appointed an eight-member board.
Social Responsibility in Scotland – also known as Agenda – announced the board following a strategy day to decide priorities.
The board members are: Robert Beattie of IBM, Kyla Brand (Agenda’s executive director), Stuart Duffin of West Lothian Chamber of Commerce, Michael Fass of Tomorrow’s Company in Scotland, Charles Henderson of Aegon Asset Management, Osbert Lancaster of the Centre for Human Ecology, Andrew Magowan of KPMG and Jon Ralls of internet consultancy WWWolf.
Brand said the board had agreed the body would be ‘a forum to evolve and promote an inclusive agenda for social responsibility throughout Scotland’. This would also involve raising awareness of the issue in the Scottish parliament.
Agenda will organize seminars in early 2001 on ‘Education and socially responsible investment’ and ‘Consumers and social responsibility’.
